If you’ve dined with us recently, you may have noticed something a little bit different about our menu. We’ve just released out Autumn/Winter menu for 2017, so we thought we’d offer you a quick rundown of what you can expect next time you pop in.
We’re throwing convention out of the window today and starting with desserts, because we know that’s what you’re really here for!
We’ve added a black cherry jam roly-poly with almond custard to our dessert menu this time (and it’s fast becoming a favourite already!); a new twist on a classic, hearty dessert that’s perfect for the chilly weather that we’ve seen recently. There’s a lemon meringue cheesecake for our cheesecake aficionados with fresh lemon curd and crunchy meringue pieces, along with a big change to a staple on our menu: the chocolate brownie. A firm favourite with our regulars, we’ve added a pleasant, seasonal twist with some salted caramel that we’re sure you’ll love!

We’d never take away your sticky toffee pudding! That’s definitely one dessert that’s here to stay.
We’ve also kept our fantastic Procter’s cheeseboards and Wallings ice cream, so you’ll always find a dessert with us to tickle your fancy.
Here come the big boys: we’ve made some spectacular changes to this part of the menu!
For the seafood lovers, our classic fish pie has returned (we can hear the cheers from here!), as well as our brand new addition: blackened Cajun seabass sat on a pea & ham cassoulet, with saffron new potatoes and finished with rouille.
Vegetarian dishes include a Falafel Burger topped with halloumi cheese, on a toasted brioche bun with lettuce, tomato and onion, served with rosemary & garlic sweet potato fries,
mango mayo and sweet chilli sauce, and flatbread with roasted peppers & tomatoes and topped with buffalo mozzarella, served with a rocket & tomato balsamic salad.
We’ve added some classic dishes to the menu this season too, including our Shepherds Pie topped with lattice mash & Lancashire cheese, served with tenderstem broccoli and carrots and Pan-Fried Goosnargh Chicken Breast with a savoy cabbage, garlic sausage & bean fricassee, served with roasted new potatoes and finished with a tarragon jus.

Of course, we’ve kept our Steak & Ale pie (we know you couldn’t do without it!), as well as our fresh fillet of cod and the classic inn burger.
For starters, you can enjoy our brand new open ravioli, or mini confit duck pie, along with many other delicious additions.
