Back by popular demand, our “Accommodation Spotlight” series takes a look at our accommodation and the beautiful Lancashire walks our bedrooms are named after. After our previous blog, we asked you which room you’d like to learn more about, and you chose the beautiful Nicky Nook!
This bedroom is unlike any other; although its one of our standard rooms, Nicky Nook is positively enormous with an incredible vaulted ceiling, not to mention its original oak beams. Like every room at The Fleece Inn, the room features a walk in shower, six foot bath and luxurious king size bed. This elegance and style comes with fabulous modern comforts too, like your very own flat screen smart television and Nespresso machine; perfect for chilling out after a long walk.
Nicky Nook, as the name may suggest, is an area full of character and charm. Located on the western edge of the Forest of Bowland, the summit offers wide, breathtaking views from North Wales right up to the Lake District, with an equally beautiful view of the forest itself on the other side.
Access to the trail is found in Scorton, up the hill towards Wyresdale Park. Once there, the walk should take the average person around 40 minutes. Bear in mind, however, that much of the walk is uphill, so you’ll need a good night’s rest before you set out!
Our accommodation is the perfect place to rest your head after a long walk through the beautiful Lancashire countryside, and after getting your boots muddy you’ll no doubt appreciate a drink at our well-stocked bar and a delicious, hearty meal cooked by our excellent chefs. What are you waiting for? Book your stay at The Fleece Inn today and take advantage of a beautiful walk in the wonderful Spring weather.
